Nick McNally - Band Bio
My music career began as anyones would - in my room listening to music, envisaging of something more, wanting to play for a crowd; all the things a young boy with an artistic spark desires. When I was eight years old, my father showed me the chords: G,C,D,A, and F to get buy on, but my fingers were just to small. Later on in life I pick up the guitar and just started playing music, learning songs by ear and practicing non-stop until I was 13, I joined a band in high school and we covered artists from Nirvana to Silverchair. Right about this time I was interested in a wide varity of music genres and styles and developed a love for the acoustic guitar. I got a regular gig at a local Pub in my hometown with 2 friends and we played classic rock from the 50's on through the 90's, plus in addition we played some East Coast Pub music and Irish drinking songs to keep up with the Pub's image. We began getting a response from other bars as well and traveled across the province of New Brunswick. At various times I was asked to play with other local talents and this eventually lead me and opening spot for April Wine. In 2004 I found my soulmate, Katie Brown-Rideout, and she was and still is one of my main sources of inspiration for music.
By the time I was nineteen I had lots of experience playing in front of a crowd, but what about the other part to being a success, I had hardly any original material. I've written many things for the past 2 or 3 years, which has enabled me to start thinking about making an album.
Now I really don't want to sound like every other artist who no one has ever even heard of and the fact that they go on and on about how their first album will be out sometime this year. People who say that never go anywhere. I'm just going to say that I would wish to have an album ready for release sometime in the near future. If it will be released sometime this year I would have said that but it's not.
Now enough rambling, So Far So Good?
I don't really have a great history, seems how I am only 21 and I haven't fully accomplished all the work that I wish to achieve yet.
